The Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus suite is provided for free to all current CUNY students and faculty/staff via the Microsoft Office in Education program. The license remains active as long as you are a student or are employed at a CUNY University, and the software can be installed on up to 5 devices at a time.
How to Install
1. Students: Go to https://login.microsoftonline.com/ and sign in using your BMCC student email.
Faculty/Staff: Go to the CUNY Web Applications Login page, https://login.microsoftonline.com/?whr=login.cuny.edu, and sign in using your CUNYFirst account.
2. Click on the “Install Office” button, then click on “Office 365 apps” to download the installer file.
3. After the installer file finishes downloading, run it to begin the installation process.

4. Follow the installer prompts to proceed with the installation process.
5. After installation is complete, run any one of the installed programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) and you will be asked to activate Office. To do so, sign in using your BMCC email if you are a student, or your CUNYFirst account if you are a Faculty/Staff member.
