How to Sign Into Microsoft Office 365 Applications - Employees

As a CUNY employee, faculty and staff are entitled to access the Microsoft Office 365 applications. These benefits are linked to your active employment status. The Microsoft Office 365 suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, and more. To unlock these digital tools, sign in using your CUNYfirst login credentials.

 

Sign in to Microsoft Office 365 Desktop Applications


1. Begin by launching an application like Excel or Word. From there, you can either choose to open a file you've worked on before, or create a new one. Once you have your file open, click Sign in.

 

2. In the Sign in Window, type your CUNYfirst username in the following format FirstName.LastName40@login.cuny.edu and click Next.

 

3. A CUNYfirst window will open for you to enter your CUNYfirst username and password. After clicking on Login, you’ll be able to see your name on the top right of the application.

 

 

Sign in to Microsoft Office 365 Applications through the Web


1. To sign into the Microsoft office 365 applications from the web, please go to https://www.office.com/ and click sign in.

 

2. Type your CUNYfirst username in the following format FirstName.LastName01@login.cuny.edu and click Next.

 

 3. You’ll be prompted to enter your CUNYfirst username and password. After clicking on Login, you’ll be able to see your name on the top right of the window.
