How to fix "Something went wrong" error on Microsoft 365 email in a browser

If you encounter the "Something went wrong" error message when accessing your BMCC Microsoft 365 email account on your browser, don't worry. You can try the recommended action of clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and Internet history. 

Please see the instructions below based on your browser:

 


Google Chrome:

  1. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  2. Select More tools > Clear browsing data.
  3. Choose the time range "All time" and select all the options available.
  4. Click on Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click on the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Select Options > Privacy & Security.
  4. Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  5. Click on Clear Data.
  6. Check all the options.
  7. Click on Clear.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  2. Select Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
  3. Scroll down to the Clear browsing data section.
  4. Choose the time range "All time" and select all the options available.
  5. Click on Clear now.

Apple Safari:

  1. Click on the Safari menu in the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Select Preferences > Privacy.
  3. Click on Manage Website Data.
  4. Select the websites whose data you want to remove.
  5. Click on Remove, then click on Done.
