Responding to an Invitation from Another CUNY School (Specifically for BMCC Members):

If you’re a BMCC member and you receive a Teams collaboration invite from another CUNY school in your BMCC email, follow these steps to avoid potential sign-in issues:

1. Avoid Direct Clicks: Do not directly click on the invitation link in your BMCC email. Doing so and trying to sign in using your BMCC email credentials will result in an error message.

2. Use a Different Browser or Incognito/Private Mode: Instead, copy the invitation link, paste it into a different browser or an incognito/private window.

3. Sign in Using CUNYfirst: Once you’ve pasted the link, sign in using your CUNYfirst credentials.

Inviting an External CUNY Guest:

1. Open Your Team: Launch Teams, select “Teams” on the left, and choose your desired team.

2. Invite Your Guest: Click the “More options” (three dots) next to your team’s name, opt for “Add member,” and enter the guest’s email.

3. Wait for Their Acceptance: An invitation email will be sent. Guests must use its link to join.

4. Guests’ Entry: After activating the link, they will be able to sign into the Teams Channel and collaborate.
