How to Submit a CUNYFirst Access Request

1. Go to the BMCC Portal login page ( and sign in.


2. Scroll down to the “User Links and Applications” section and click on “CUNYFirst Access”.


3. Double-click on “CUNYFirst Security Access Request (Faculty/Staff)” to open a new access request case.


4. The Employee Information fields should fill out automatically with the relevant information. Select the Position Type, either Full Time or Part Time and if you are a student specify which college you are attending.

Under “Campus Solutions Security Templates” you can select a template to request the minimal access required for a specific job title. If you need to request specific access leave this blank.

After all required fields are filled out, click “Next”.


5. Select any access roles that are required. Roles that are shaded green have already been assigned. Roles that are shaded yellow are automatically selected from the chosen template. Roles that are shaded grey grant high level access and are only assigned to select users. Roles marked with ** require CUNY Central Office approval to be granted.
After all necessary roles have been selected click “Next” at the bottom of the page.


6. The selected roles will be shown. Fill in any necessary fields marked with * then click “Next” at the bottom of the page.


7. Click on the checkbox the agree to the Confidentiality Statement then click “Next”.


8. Click “Continue” and the case will be sent for manager approval. You will also receive an email notification that the case was successfully submitted.
